Photographer

Prior to moving to Beijing, Chip spent a year teaching digital photography to impoverished youths in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied Latin America and photography at Dartmouth College, where he also served as a campus photographer and photography editor for the daily newspaper. His first solo show in 2005 documented an indigenous community's struggle for legal title to their land in Honduras. He is currently working on making portraits
of fortunetellers throughout China and producing conceptual and installation art for upcom- ing international art fairs.

Before joining Viva Now!, Chip was the lab director at the Three Shadows Photography Centre in Caochangdi, where he continues to develop educational programming. When not behind the camera, Chip can be found playing guitar and singing with his bluegrass band The Redbucks.
